Banker Leonid Esterkin’s garden in Jurmala
World famous Architect Gisberts Enzenauers designed part of the garden adjacent to the house. After thorough inspections of our design, our team was selected to undertake the project. Plants had to be ordered and delivered from European Plant Nurseries within 10 days. After consultation with the architect, we decided to substitute some plants for others more suited to Latvia’s climate. The main work was completed by the beginning of July. Everyone was delighted with the result - by using large plants we achieved the goal and created a garden which could have been planted at least 30 years ago. The garden perfectly complements the architecture of the house creating a feeling of completeness and harmony.
After finishing the first part of the work, the owner commissioned us to draft a design for the rest of the garden which lies amidst coastal dunes in pine forest. The scheme had to be in harmony with already existing valuable plant groups. We consider the transition from formal planning to free planning as a success.
